Mandatory Credit: Scott Wachter-Imagn Images Phoenix Suns All-Star guard Devin Booker will miss at least one week due to the right hip strain that occurred during the second quarter of Thursday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Booker will be re-evaluated after one week to dissect the amount of progress he's making. No timetable for a return to action has been set.
Booker sat out for the ninth time in 12 games when the Suns faced the visiting Orlando Magic on Saturday afternoon. The five-time All-Star missed seven straight games during the stretch due to a sprained right ankle.
Booker, 29, is averaging 24.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 44 games this season. The 11-year-veteran is two 3-pointers shy of making 1,500 in his career.
The Suns also indicated that guard Haywood Highsmith (right knee) will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks. Highsmith was recently signed by the team.
